1. Steps to Generate Trial Balance in Tally Prime

Generating a Trial Balance in Tally Prime is simple and can be done in a few steps:

Step 1: Open Tally Prime

• Launch Tally Prime and select the company for which you want to generate the Trial Balance.

Step 2: Navigate to Trial Balance

• From the Gateway of Tally, go to:
  • Display more reports > Accounting > Trial Balance.

Alternatively, you can use the shortcut Alt + G to open the Go To menu and type "Trial Balance" to access it directly.

Step 3: Set the Reporting Period

• By default, the Trial Balance report will show the balances for the current financial year. However, you can change the reporting period by pressing Alt + F2 and specifying the From and To dates.
  • Example: To view the Trial Balance for the month of April, set the period from 1-April-YYYY to 30-April-YYYY.

Step 4: View the Trial Balance

• After selecting the period, the Trial Balance report will display all the ledger accounts along with their Debit and Credit balances.
